Anti-bullying Policy

This document forms part of a series of statutory and advisory guidance documents providing information for all involved in preventing and challenging bullying in schools. Each document within this series provides tailored advice specifically aimed at key audiences.

Behaviour Policy

At Ysgol Sŵn y Don we work together to provide the children in our care with an excellent education, whilst nurturing and caring for their needs as they develop and grow.

Complaints Policy

Ysgol Sŵn y Don is committed to dealing effectively with complaints. We aim to clarify any issues about which you are not sure. If possible we will put right any mistakes we have made and we will apologise. We aim to learn from mistakes and use that experience to improve what we do.

Parent Code of Conduct

We are very fortunate to have a supportive and friendly parent body. Our parents recognise that educating children is a process that involves partnership between parents, class teachers and the school community.

Safeguarding Policy

It is the policy of Ysgol Sŵn y Don to make children’s safety, wellbeing and protection our highest priority while they are in our care. Safeguarding is the term we use to identify the work we do to protect children from abuse or neglect and to educate those around them to recognise the signs and dangers of abuse and neglect.

School Privacy Policy

In accordance with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which comes into force on 25th May 2018, this notice sets out what the Local Authority Education service and Ysgol Swn y Don does with children’s and young peoples, personal and performance information, and any personal information relating to you as parent / guardian.

Child Privacy Policy

If we share your personal information we will explain who we are sharing it with and we’ll keep it safe. We only share information containing personal details with organisations listed in the regulations. The list has places like:

  • A new school;
  • Welsh Government;
  • Careers Wales so you get the right training for work.
