Class Enfys

Teacher Kim Evans
Welcome:
We’re so happy to welcome your children into Dosbarth Enfys this year. My name is Mrs Evans and I’ll be working alongside our wonderful classroom assistants Mrs Dale and Mrs Rimmer.
Please remember to bring in a piece of fruit each day for snack which the children can have alongside their free milk. Children also each have their own water bottle in class with free access to this during the day. Please also pack spare clothes in case your child needs changing. And if your child is in pull ups, please remember to pack additional pull ups and wipes.
I know that I may not see some of you on a regular basis if your child travels to our school. If you ever want to talk about how your child is getting on, ask a question or anything else, please ring the school and I can contact you as soon as possible.
Key Info:
Please can we remind you to put your child’s name in all items of their uniform, including shoes and coats. It is inevitable that the children will take items of their uniform off for dressing up, painting or when they’re hot. Names will help to avoid items of clothing from getting lost. Although we monitor clothing and do our best to keep track, I know you can appreciate that we work in a busy classroom and we may forget to pack some things. Please let us know what’s been left and we will try our best to find it
Forest School:
Our forest school sessions will be held each FRIDAY morning with Mr Gallagher. Please ensure your child comes into school ready for this session in the correct clothing:
- Warm clothes that might get a bit messy
- Outdoor shoes/ wellies available for the session (pupils will be given the opportunity to change shoes).
- A warm and waterproof coat.
- Warm hats and gloves (when the weather is cooler).
PE/Outdoor:
Your children will be taking part in a range of exciting and interesting activities both in class and through learning outside the classroom, for this reason, we ask that children come into school prepared for outdoor learning activities by wearing their active uniform and a warm, waterproof coat. The active uniform is also essential for P.E. which is on a MONDAY. Please ensure that clothing is appropriate for each season, as outdoor learning will be taking place throughout the year come rain, wind or shine (within reason).
What we are learning: Our topic for this autumn term is “Dyma fi”. The children will have the opportunity to explore and take part in a variety of activities that allows them to find out who they are! We will look at our features, our likes and dislikes, our emotions, our senses and much more! We will also be focusing on our self-help skills, our communication skills, and learning to be part of team.
