School Uniform

At Sŵn y Don we encourage all children to wear a school uniform – a uniform looks smart and creates a feeling of belonging for the children.

UNIFORM;

Boys:

• Dark grey or black trousers
• White polo shirt*
• Jade green sweatshirt*
• Summer Uniform as above but also dark grey or black tailored shorts

Girls:

• Dark grey or black skirt/trousers/pinafore dress
• White polo shirt*
• Jade green sweatshirt/cardigan*
• Summer Uniform as above but also dark grey or black tailored shorts, green & white check dress

WHERE TO BUY;

All items marked with a * can be purchased from the school office, sizes and prices can be found at the end of this prospectus.

All children should wear sensible, well-fitting, black, low-heeled shoes (or boots in poor weather) for school.

All items of clothing must be clearly marked with the child’s name. Staff cannot assist a child in finding their missing items if they are not labelled!

JEWELRY AND VALUABLES:

Jewellery is not a part of the school uniform and therefore should not be worn to school. Small, plain stud earrings are acceptable – but must be covered or removed for P.E. lessons, watches must also be removed for P.E.

Toys and other valuables should not be brought into school unless requested by the Class teacher as part of the term’s work.

School cannot be held responsible for the loss or damage of any valuables brought into school.
